White Wines
2008 California Chardonnay - $16
Woof'n Rose does not produce white wines so this delightful Chardonnay comes from the north. Made completely in stainless steel and blended with a touch of Gerwurtztraminer and Muscat it is full of pineapple, kiwi, & green apple peel. There is creaminess in the mouth. Pair this wine with light cheeses, fish, poultry, curried shrimp or perfect on its own for a relaxing summer afternoon or evening.

Our Estate Grenache Noir, a lighter style red wine, has wild raspberry on the nose, herbal undertones with floral essence in the pallet with hints of strawberry/raspberry on the finish. Pairs well with the humble hamburger, corned beef, salmon, or BBQ chicken.

Our full bodied flagship wine, the nose of this lovely wine has a hint of black plums, but in the pallet it is Cherries, Cherries, Cherries with a touch of vanilla all the way to finish. Enjoy all by itself or with a meal of steak, prime rib, lamb, or bison.

Our Estate Reserve Cabernet Franc has been aged in French Oak for 22 months. Dark, rich fruit on the pallet with a lovely hint of vanilla and smoke with soft tannins which assures you that it will age for at least another 5 years. Dynamite with buffalo or other red meats, and wonderful with dark chocolate.
2008 Ramona Valley Merlot - $20

Produced from Ramona Valley grapes this Merlot has a hint of lavender in the nose, vanilla in the middle palate with a black cherry finish. It was aged in 50% French Oak and 50% American oak.

Made from virtually dry farmed (Steve calls them neglected) vines, this Merlot is intense both in color and in black fruit flavors. Production yield from these vines is low and much of it finds its way into our signature blend, the Eglantine, so only a few cases of Estate Merlot are made each year.

Eglantine is a european rose variety also known as Rosa Caninus or 'Dog Rose' and thus a fitting name for our signature Bordeaux style blend of 75% Estate Cabernet Franc & 25% Estate Merlot. All one can say about our 2008 Estate Eglantine is plums, plums, plums with a hint of red peppercorn in the finish. It pairs well with lamb, rib eye and T-Bone steaks, and with game meat.
